Solid Core Composite Doors

Unlike standard GRP composite doors which are filled with foam, Solid Core composite doors are made with timber. 

 All of our Solid Core Composite Doors are manufactured with multiple layers of laminated timber with either uPVC, ABS or Fibreglass Skins. 

Solid Core composite doors are much sturdier and much more durable than standard GRP composite doors. This is due to their  multiple internal layers of timber, which are placed so that the grains are laid in different directions during production.

Solid Core composite doors have been proven to give your home better security. As a result of this, more insurance companies are willing to insure homes with Solid Core composite doors than homes with standard GRP composite doors.

Our uPVC skinned Solid Core composite doors are almost impossible to scratch and easier to clean and maintain than GRP composite doors.

Additionally, with Solid Core doors being made up of multiple layers of timber facing in different directions, they are less liking to bow or warp.

Finally, with Solid Core composite doors being made mainly from wood, Solid Core doors are more environmentally friendly because they can be recycled at the end of their life.
